Holidays abroad are really tough, especially since Thanksgiving is such an important annual event at the cabin. We are thankful to have such amazing families that make being away so hard, and it was great to be able to Skype/call everyone mid-party. We did the best we could to approximate Thanksgiving here, starting with a big celebration at Michelle's school with her favorite dish: Mac n' Cheese:
Michelle's students made some amazing turkeys. The last one would make Picasso jealous.
Thanksgiving night we went to a restaurant called Perfume, where you can order an entire roast chicken stuffed with potatoes and served with a delicious gravy-like sauce. This is about as close as you can get to Thanksgiving dinner here without making it yourself or joining hoards of expats at crowded Thanksgiving buffets. We almost managed the entire thing between the two of us.
