We were only in Yangon for a magical few hours. After arriving at our hotel, we met up with a friend of Katharina's and had a great dinner together at an unexpectedly posh restaurant near our hotel. The next morning we woke up early so that we could make a quick visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most famous pagodas in the world.
We arrived early in the morning (around 6am) on our way to catch our flight to Bagan which ended up being the most perfect time to go. Everyone was just starting to show up, the temperature was nice and cool, and there were no other tourists in sight. The temple was quiet enough that you could hear the birds chirping while they flew overhead.
This day was also Katharina's birthday! A great way to start out her special day :)
Katharina and I got a few requests for pictures while traveling in Vietnam and Burma.
